Venue Hire Terms & Conditions

1. Booking & Payment

1.1. Bookings are confirmed upon full payment and acceptance of these terms.
1.2. Payments are non-refundable unless agreed in writing.
1.3. Exceeding booked time may incur additional charges.

2. Use of Premises

2.1. The Hirer may only use the premises for the agreed purpose and must comply with all laws.
2.2. Subletting or sharing is prohibited without written consent.
2.3. The Hirer must ensure safety, order, and adherence to studio policies.

3. Health & Safety

3.1. The Hirer is responsible for attendee safety and must follow all fire, health, and safety regulations.
3.2. Emergency exits must remain clear.
3.3. Incidents must be reported immediately.

4. Liability & Indemnity

4.1. The Hirer is liable for any damage caused by themselves, their guests, or contractors.
4.2. False fire alarms triggered by the Hirer will result in full liability for callout fees.
4.3. The Hirer indemnifies the Owner against all claims, losses, or legal costs arising from their use, except in cases of the Owner’s negligence.
4.4. The Owner is not liable for injury, loss, or damage except as required by law.

5. Cleaning & Damage

5.1. The Hirer must leave the premises clean; additional cleaning fees may apply.
5.2. Any damage must be reported and will be charged to the Hirer.

6. Cancellation & Termination

6.1. The Owner may cancel due to unforeseen circumstances, with a full refund provided.
6.2. Breaches of these terms may result in immediate termination of hire.

7. General

7.1. These terms are governed by New Zealand law.
7.2. Disputes will be resolved in good faith or through New Zealand courts if necessary.
